Our Executive Management Team
Joseph A. DePaulo, Chief Executive Officer
As CEO of Credit One Financial Solutions, Mr. DePaulo’s duties include setting the strategic
vision and direction of the company. He has nineteen years experience in the financial
services industry at MBNA and BayBanks. He was a Group Executive with
MBNA and a member of their Executive Committee. He held numerous senior management
positions with MBNA including Chief Marketing Officer for MBNA Europe and
MBNA Consumer Finance and Director of Corporate Development and Acquisitions.
Mr. DePaulo received his BA from Georgetown University and his MBA from the Amos
Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
Tim Staley, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Staley’s role as COO of Credit One involves managing all lending, customer service,
collections and overseeing the technology infrastructure. Prior to his current role, Mr.
Staley worked for nineteen years at MBNA as the Chief Marketing Officer for MBNA Canada and
also as a Product Manager for the Personal Line of Credit and Mortgage products in MBNA Consumer
Finance. Mr. Staley also held senior level management positions in several different areas of
MBNA. He received his BA from Loyola College.
Paul Thome, Chief Financial Officer
In Mr. Thome’s role as CFO, he is responsible for accounting, treasury, compliance and
legal affairs. Mr. Thome brings to Credit One thirty-four years of experience in the financial
services industry at organizations such as MBNA, MNC Financial, and Coopers
& Lybrand. He previously served as Director of Corporate Development and Acquisitions
and CFO of Consumer Finance at MBNA. Mr. Thome received his BA from Augustana
College and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Dan Kennedy, Chief Marketing Officer
As CMO of Credit One, Mr. Kennedy directs all marketing and business development
efforts and oversees the data management environment. Prior to his current role, he
worked for twelve years at MBNA, most notably as a Director of Marketing for MBNA
Europe. Mr. Kennedy received his BS from the United States Military Academy at West
Point, graduated from the U.S. Army Armor School, and is a combat veteran of Desert
Storm and Mogadishu.
Dan Hill, Chief Risk Officer
Mr. Hill’s role as CRO involves defining the key strategies for lead selection, portfolio
management, and collections, and managing the COFS credit policies. In thirteen years
at MBNA, he served as Director of Consumer Finance Portfolio Management, and Director
of Consumer Finance Collection Strategies. Mr. Hill received his BA and MBA
degrees from Drexel University.
